A touching story of love and solidarity…….
Maria was taken ill, she had to be hospitalised for several days. She caught a virus and lost a staggering amount of weight. Sadly at the same time foster mother Naomi also became ill and was not able to be Maria’s guardian in hospital. (In Malawi a patient is required to bring a guardian with them to hospital).
All Hope Village female staff grouped together to help make a plan. They paired themselves up in twos to do day and night shifts at the hospital with Maria. This went on for two weeks. Most of the ladies had their own children at home and made plans for their extended family and community to care for their own children!
The ladies were determined to get Maria well and healthy again and inspired us all with their acts of love and kindness.
