Partners in Hope (a USAID project) are now working 4 days a week in the Hope Village Clinic (they used to visit once a week). They now test around 80 patients per week for AIDS/HIV and STI’s. Approximately 8 patients per week get tested positive for HIV/AIDs and receive counselling, they also get referred to the local hospital for the right medication. The HIV/AIDS medication helps make daily tasks easier for the patients and extends life expectancy.
The community are very grateful for this valuable service. We hope to raise more awareness to testing as many go without being diagnosed.
